Ceakay Ballyhoo's A Watercolor Wander, located on LEA (Linden Endowment for the Arts) 12, is one of the most creative and enjoyable art installations I have visited in awhile. The visitor is guided through a series of tableaus and literally walks into watercolor paintings that the artist has created. The freshness of the medium of watercolor, which should take into account the brightness and texture of the underlying paper on which it is based, can be seen to great effect in Ceakay's work.
In order to appreciate and get the most our of A Watercolor Wander make sure to limit distance to about 80 - 200 meters. One thing I noticed is that Snarl!, a very large art installation on LEA 13 that I reviewed here in July was noticeable at higher distance levels.
