Winter in Japan is incomparably beautiful and well represented in Second Life, particularly by standout destinations such as Neko no Jinja. I want to provide some personal context. When I first visited Japan, I did not find the metropolises of Tokyo and Osaka, particularly attractive. They were densely packed, very concrete, and for the most part devoid of parks and trees. But once I got outside of the main cities and visited the mountainous spine of Japan, I was dazzled. I was lucky enough to visit in December, when early snow and icy lakes shined in the winter sun. The clean lines of Japanese architecture look amazing in this setting -- as they do in this stand-out destination.
Please note that although the destination claims to have many interactive kitties, I did not see any on my photography session. However, I remained in one area to take photographs which may have isolated me from the resident felines.
