There is no better way to appreciate the incomparable beauty of Paris than by a walk alongside the quays, over the many bridges, and over the islands of the city's main waterway, the River Seine. Pont Mirabeau, a shopping destination which includes the retail stores of Kalopsia, Vagabond, La Petite Morte and The Annex allows the visitor to do this virtually. Masses of buildings constructed in the Second Empire architectural style (1865 - 1880), which the popular imagination most associates with Paris, line the central waterway - the effect is powerful and very convincing. As soon as I arrived at this destination, I immediately knew what effect the builder was trying to create here -- fashionable and chic Paris immortalized as the City of Light. Anyone who is interested in great Second Life architecture and sim design would benefit from a visit.
