Great Second LIfe Destinations: The Island of Frisland in the First Snows of Winter

Beautiful Frisland, a virtualization of a mythical island in the north Atlantic, has been a blogger and photographer's favorite since it opened in 2014.  The project was inspired by the phantom island of Frisland, which never actually existed, but which appeared on virtually all of the maps of the North Atlantic from 1560 - 1660.  The alluvial landscape appears to be entirely natural and takes a special fresh character in the winter snows. I highly recommend a visit -- this is one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Second Life:

I made these oil paintings using free Fotosketcher software. You can choose watercolor, oil, pastel, or pencil drawing, among other effects, to transform your photographic software. You can also frame your images with a wide variety of simple and realistic frames.

You can download Fotosketcher here:   http://www.fotosketcher.com/.  You then must upload your images to the Fotosketcher web site to complete your transformation effects.
