Great Second Life Destinations: The Hairy Hippo Roller Coaster is Now Operational

I first photographed the Hairy Hippo Fun Land Roller Coaster in Bay City back in 2012.  It was inoperable then -- a magnificent slightly rusted metallic monolith which looked great in its water reflections in the Bay which which lends its name to Second Life's greatest urban development. I was quite surprised to read that the roller coaster was now operational over at Daniel Voyager's blog. Interested visitors should teleport to the landing area through the SLurl listed below and rez a blue cart which will take you for a spin on this great ride. The best viewing is done in Mouselook -- but great photographs can be taken with other camera positions. I highly recommend a visit. Make sure to check out the other attractions and rides at Hairy Hippo Fun Land once you are there.

Make sure to visit the creepy Bay City Aquarium next door to the rollercoaster. You can catch my full review here.  It dates back to 2012 but the attractions are still open.

You can see my review of another old-fashioned working roller coaster in Second Life, the Cyclone, here:
