The Wayward Carnival summer carnival and shopping event opened on July 15, and is well worth visiting. The Carnival will last through July 30 and features 50 Second Life designers most of whom (as in all profitable events in Second Life it seems) were selling ladies fashion items. The carnival is full working with many rides and attractions, and is a delight to visit and photograph -- the neon lights and display signs are very realistic and add much to the summer eve ambience here. Look beyond the main boardwalk area to the sides and back of the region to see the retail sales avenues.
The carnival was packed today on opening day, I had to wait several hours before I could log in to the region. Things definitely improved in terms of attendance and region performance later at night.
All photography was taken with the Windlight Sky Setting programmed at the region.
