Classic Second Life Destinations: Springtime 2015 Arrives in Frisland

Beautiful Frisland, a virtualization of a mythical island in the north Atlantic, has been a blogger and photographer's favorite since it opened one year ago. The project was inspired by the phantom island of Frisland, which never actually existed, but which appeared on virtually all of the maps of the North Atlantic from 1560 - 1660.  The translucent grey skies, cool green grass, and construction reminded me of Denmark in the late Springtime. The alluvial landscape appears to be entirely natural; rent a fee bicycle and ride along the winding paths for a truly relaxing visit.

All photography was taken with the custom Windlight Sky setting created by designer Charlie Namiboo programmed automatically at the region. I highly recommend a visit -- this is one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Second Life:
