One of the best aspects of Japanese design, besides an unmatched appreciation of natural beauty without unnecessary embellishment, is its ability to take delight in small and mundane spaces. The urban scene located inside a skybox at Xin should not be as appealing as it is. Surely the usage of barbed wire, asphalt, and telephone booths should not look as good as they do here. Whether or not it is the usage of a fresh quiet blanket of snow, or simply the bright urban light reflected on trees yielding a composition in grey that Mondrian would find inspiration with, this is an absolutely gorgeous sim and highly recommended for a visit. Make sure to visit the hidden courtyards and store interiors to discover more of Xin's muted charm.
