Autumn Foliage Week 2014: Perfect Attention to Detail at Small Town Green

Autumn is my favorite time for landscape photography. Many regions of Second Life are now bursting out in gorgeous warm Autumn colors. I will be spending the next week photographing destinations which showcase glorious autumn colors at their peak. You can catch the list of destinations I have selected further down this article.

Small Town Green, which actually is a series of islands which surround an inner bay, is a favorite destination for Second Life photographers. The islands themselves change shape and build according to the seasons. I visit several times a year and am always surprised at what I find.

There is an attention to fine detail - such as the arrangement of items around the red door below -  that is rare in much of Second Life. My guess is that the builder spent as much time on designing this "doorscape" as was spent on the excellent natural positioning of the autumn trees. Make sure to visit before the winter sets in, when Small Town Green will change yet again for the winter ice and snow.
