Great Second Life Destinations: Dawn to Dusk at Paradiso Island

The interactions of water, waves, and the wooded shoreline is very well done at Paradiso Island. I found myself spending quite a bit of time here watching waves overtake flooded piers and groupings of trees - almost flooding the pretty structures that contain sitting areas and places to hang out here. Perhaps some freshwater lake in and enchanted place has had too much rain -- but the end result is quite beautiful and highly recommended for a visit. I took these images using various dawn - dusk Windlight settings that contain for hints of ocean fog and mysts.

Real Life Hunk of the Week: Actor and Versace Model Nolan Gerard Funk

28 year-old Nolan Gerard Funk is an actor, singer, dancer, and occasional model. The former gymnast and diver is originally from Canada and first was noticed for his performance as Hunter Clarington in the television series Glee, a very good video of which I show below. In 2009, He played Conrad Birdie in the Broadway  revival of the musical Bye Bye Birdie -- although the musical bombed, his talents were noticed. He also starred with Linday Lohan and porn superstar James Deen in the controversial film The Canyons. He is currently the face of the Versace's spring/summer 2014 menswear campaign.

Great Second Life Destinations: Enchanted Lost Island - But Watch That Hungry Tiger!

Lost Island is a realm of waterfalls, prehistoric palm trees, caves, strange ruins, and fields of shimmering flowers. The description says you are on an alien world, and not on earth itself -- which really explains much of what is going on here. But what that hungry tiger who is ready to pounce on you when you arrive!  I found this to be a great place to photograph and highly recommend that you visit.

Benja and Ryce Oil Pastels Using Fotosketcher Free Software

I made these Oil Pastels of Ryce and Benja  using Fotosketcher free software. It includes a variety of frames to add to your image. The software gives you a choice of several styles of oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, and pastel effects to choose from.

You can accomplish the same thing in Photoshop of course, but this is fast and free -- and is very easy to use.

I show the original photograph below each image.
