David James Gandy (age 34) is a English supermodel who is reportedly, at the current time, the highest paid in the world. He grew up in Essex in a working-class family. After winning a televised model-search competition, he started getting a huge number of contracts in both the fashion and fitness genre. His tall (6' 2", 1.88 m) and muscular looks have opened the door for other masculine models to work in areas traditionally reserved for thinner men (and younger) men.
