Gorgeous Second Life Destinations: The Incomparable Lefevre Mansion, A Beaux-Arts Masterpiece From The Gilded Age.

The Lefevre Mansion opened last Sunday and it has exceeded all expectations. Architect and builder Kaya Angel, whose designed Second Life's greatest arts complex, the Rose Theater and Angel Manor, has now built a stunning beaux-arts mansion that is representative of the great estates from the Gilded Age of the United States for Resident Marcusgay Lefevre and the Lefevre family. The mansion, which resides on two sims, simply has to be seen by anyone interested in great design.  In addition, The Partycular Theater that is inspired by the interior of Art Deco masterpiece Radio City Music Hall in New York City, resides above the complex and will be holding performing arts events (check Kara's Korner for photography from the opening event). I highly recommend you visit this destination.

Below are photographs of one of the inspirations for the Lefevre Mansion, The Breakers, a mansion built for the Vanderbilt family  in Newport, Rhode Island in the United States.  The Breakers is considered to be one of the most magnificent mansions ever built in America's Gilded Age in 1895, and is now open for tours and visits.
