Marriage Equality Now Looking Good for State of Illinois - Vote Has to Happen by May 31

On Saturday, I wrote here that the Illinois General Assembly might not pass a bill allowing same-sex marriage by the deadline of May 31. A defeat in the fifth largest of the United States would be a big defeat for marriage equality.

It looks like I may have been pessimistic. Reports today are that the votes are there.

Let's hope for the best. And if you live in Illinois call your general assemblyman immediately!
