Great Destinations: Rome La Dolce Vita, The Best Virtualization of Rome in Second Life

The Trevi Fountain

There are two well publicized virtualizations of the City of Rome in Second Life. The first, Cinecitta' Donna Flora, which we reviewed and photographed yesterday, resembles a movie set.  It is not intended to be realistic but works as an entertaining destination for photography.

The Spanish Steps

Today's destination, Rome La Dolce Vita, is one of the best done and most romantic urban sims in Second Life. Most of the most famous buildings and piazzas of the eternal city are there, and give a good approximation of the real venues are like, except for the being right next to each other (in reality the Spanish Steps are not next door to the Vatican for example). Take the romantic carriage ride, and marvel at how gorgeous Rome is, and how good a sim build can be. You can dance with your partner at most of the locations  Highly recommended.

I took these photographs with a sepia Windlight sky settings.
