Julia Child, who brought decent cooking to millions of Americans with her pioneering television show "The French Chef", was born 100 years ago today. She died in 1994.

A real life secret fact about me -- I have been told by quite a few that I do a drop dead ringer imitation of her voice as she cooks this recipe, although I do not dress up as her when I mimic, despite the strong temptation to do so.
