Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State (Foreign Minister) for the U.S.A. announced that a nation's stance on Gay Rights will be taken into account when considering how much foreign aid they get.

This is important since some third world nations are in the process of criminalizing gay behavior, and in the case of Uganda, were actually considering the death penalty for it - but forced to withdraw it due to foreign opposition.
I thought it would be a good idea to run this since this blog has international gay readership, and some major aid contributors (Sweden, the U.K., Netherlands, Canada, and Australia for example) may or may not have a similar policy in effect. If you know of other countries having this policy please leave a comment here.
This is great. Thanks for the info.
