Seen Around the Scene - Eddi Haskell

Seen around the scene at Club CirKUit Dreams.

I do not know if it is OK to see myself "around the scene" but this is Second Life and why not?

Second Life Photo of the Day: The Cathedral at Thinis

Thinis is a very atmospheric sim that bills itself as "Immersive roleplay in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic environment. These are photographs of what appears to be a destroyed concert hall or modern cathedral.

I took these photographs from this location:

You can find out more about Thinis here:

Heading Off For A 3-Day Family Reunion This Weekend

I am heading off for a family reunion this weekend to Northern Virginia, outside of Washington D.C.. The weather will be much cooler (in the 50's and 40's at night) than hot and humid Florida, so I am really looking forward to the trip.

I will be seeing my first niece, Abby Elizabeth, for the first time.  She will be one year old this weekend.  There she is in her dancing dress above.

I may be logging in from my hotel room, but will probably not be able to come in until Monday night on an extended basis. Have a great weekend!

I am giving away Stroker Serpentine's SexGen Ultra engines at my Gallery

I had Ryce set some out at my gallery if you would like one. They are full perm.

Please Note: I am going to say it again. As a sex engine for gay Second Life residents, this engine is not that good -  it is better than the freebies around, but it is not made for gay residents and has limited functionality in this area. The animations are old, and the facial expressions are very rudimentary. Remember, you get what you pay for.

They should work; all you need to do is buy one for 0. Please try it though and let me know.

You can hand them out to others.

And while you are at it check out my photography on both levels, and my carpets.  I think everything is up for sale.

How to get a free copy of the Sexgen 600 animation sex engine

In case you have not heard the news, Stoker Serpentine, the creator of the Sexgen 600 animation bed has left Second Life and has made his very expensive sexbed free, and has decided to give it away full perm. It has over 600 positions. Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Sub, Dom, and other poses.

Please note: In my opinion, this bed IS NOT a substitute for gay sex beds and other items in Second Life made with the gay market's unique needs in mind, and frankly, does a rather poor job satisfying these needs. In addition, the animations are dated. Rule number 1 in life- you get what you pay for. But still, its a nice freebie to have.

You can read today's Alphaville Herald article here:

You can get a copy of the sex engine (which can be used with any object) here on SL exchange for free:

I also assume his beds are being given away free at his stores inland, but I have not yet checked on this.

One more note:  Stoker Serpentine needs to be lauded as a Second Life sex furniture pioneer, and we wish him the best of luck in whatever he decides to do.

You Tube: Handsome Darius MacIntyre Dances to Blondie's "Call Me"

I produced this  machinima (it is actually a real video and not a slide show) to handsome Darius MacIntyre dancing  on Saturday night at Club CirKUit dreams. I thought his dancing would go well with Blondie's classic 80's hit "Call Me".

Please check out the pompous opening I did to Aaron Copeland's Fanfare for the Common Man. The image is of the moving model of Mars that is displayed at the opening of the Arcadia region on Blue Mars.

From Hypergrid Business: Gay San Francisco Now Up to 127 Regions, is a Top 20 OpenSim Grid.

According to Hypergrid Business, Gay San Francisco is now a top 20 OpenSim Grid, with 127 Regions. This is August data, and given rapid growth, the actual number should now be higher.

I have not visited Gay San Francisco recently, I was there when they first launched and am amazed that growth has been this rapid.  I plan to go back next week and report back to you here.

Here is the Gay San Francisco home page where you can create an account:

This Weeks Poll Results: almost half of you feel that Mesh has made no impact in your Second Life experience.

The results of this week's poll are in.

The response rate was only 26 in number  (down from the usual 40 or so per poll).

I attribute this to the number of mesh surveys out, and the fact that the question, in retrospect, was a bit confusing.  I should not have added the "mesh or non-mesh enabled viewer" qualifier, since every viewer counts:

The Question:   Please take this survey if you have used a mesh or non-mesh enabled viewer in Second Life in September 2011.  How do you feel mesh has impacted your second life experience?

Improved it a great deal
2 (7%)

Improved it somewhat
3 (11%)

Made no impact
12 (46%)

Has caused some problems
3 (11%)

Has made it a living hell
5 (19%)

I am not sure / other
1 (3%)

I am a bit surprised that only 18% of respondents feel that mesh has improved their Second Life experience, it is much higher in other polls.

I will have another question next week -- I am heading off to northern Virginia. for a family reunion this weekend.

Second Life Photo of the Day: Pteron Under the Sea Animations

Pteron, designed by kei514.flow, is a gorgeous emerald-hewed alien city that is both retro and futuristic in design. There are many revolving sky spheres and platforms, and shooting lights, that add great animation to the scene. A good part of the city is underwater, and I took these photographs by aiming my camera underground.

A must -visit destination. I took these photographs from this location:

My Romantic Shower With Jago This Morning -- Sometimes You Just Can't Have Any Privacy!

Jago and I had a very hot shower this morning -- but the dogs had to take part!  The falling rose petals might be a bit much but they came part of the hot shower set-up, and do add some romance to the scene -- well, if you are not into alley sex all the time.

Jago and I will be celebrating three years together next month.  We met in early October 2008 and were partnered in November 2008. six weeks later. I am one very lucky avatar!
