In Memorium Adric Antfarm
Adric Antfarm, whose real life name was David Jennings, and who was a good Second Life friend passed away earlier this week.
Adric was also a wonderful machinima maker, highly humorous, and very insightful. I will miss him.
He had a stinging wit which I loved, pointing out the absurdity of Second Life.
Adric joins several of my friends, including (but not limited to) Ars Normead, Jaren Blackheart, Redherring Varnish, and Ash Underwood who have left us this year. All these people were wonderful residents of Second Life, and it is not the same place without them.
Here is a photo of Adric on SL over at New World Notes. If you look in the upper center of the screen, you can see my volcano photo. I remember giving Adric the photography because he said he liked it, and when I noticed this, I choked up a bit today.
Adric made a few machinimas at Jago's Museum of Sex Furniture which was open in 2009. Here is one that I liked the best celebrating the opening of the museum in the summer of last year. You can see his genius at work.
