Great Second Life Destinations: The Moya Museum

Patrick Moya, which is from Nice, France, and is Moya Janus in Second Life, is one of the top multimedia artists in virtual reality.  He owns a multi-region complex showcasing his work which can be accessed by using Moya Museum, images which I show here,  as a central location.  Patrick's creative genius makes use of hand-drawn and multimedia images unified in presenting the artists' huge talent and savoir-faire for unified two and three dimensional design. Patrick also shows a great deal of humor and wit in his work -- which, spread over a large region,  covers an entire world  of creative design -- as can only be imagined by Moya.

Make sure to visit the sculptures and drawings located within the interior spaces of museum structures.  To visit this highly recommended destination:

In 2015, Patrick Moya had an excellent art installation at MetaLES called Moya's Memory. Many bloggers covered this -- you can see my coverage here:

Great Second Life Destinations: A Gorgeous Sunrise at Lost Dream

Lost Dream is a stunning destination offering many photographing opportunities. There are several romantic poses with very nice lighting effects available for romantic photography. I thought that the Windlight Sky Setting [TOR] SUNRISE - Ultimate!, which comes as a  lighting option in Firestorm and other viewers. was particularly appropriate for these dramatic photographs. I repositioned the location of the sun and clouds (available as an advanced option) to get my exact effects.

Great Second Life Destinations: Oil Paintings From The Island of Whispering Pines

This Island of Whispering Pines is a medieval and fantasy role play destination that is part of a larger 3-sim complex. Different architectural styles are on display here --  Moghul India (the greatest real life example being the Taj Mahal), Romanesque with its use of elongated half-arch shapes as seen in the structure above, Medieval used in the wooden fortified builds and central shopping area,  and Roman shown in the underwater builds. You can use the teleport in the arrival area to transport to different attractions around the island. This is a very pretty destination that in its eclectic mix of styles makes for a highly recommended visit.

You can use the teleport in the arrival area to transport to different attractions around the island. Your taxi:

I made these oil pastel paintings using free Fotosketcher software. You can choose watercolor, oil, pastel, or pencil drawing, among other effects, to transform your photographic software. You can also frame your images with a wide variety of simple and realistic frames.

You can download Fotosketcher here:   http://www.fotosketcher.com/.  You then must upload your images to the Fotosketcher web site to complete your transformation effects.

Great Second Life Destinations: Fantasy Tales in Dance at the Royal Opera

I attended the Fantasy Tales in Dance ballet performance at the Royal Opera on Sunday, May 22. The ballet troupe was that of the Royal Opera's, and from what I understand, from Russia in real life. The sets and the stage settings were stupendous and very professionally done. A wide range of music -- from classical ballet to modern big band music to Irish Riverdance accompanied the different sets. Multimedia lights and illuminations were all part of the excellent performance.

The Royal Opera, located in a gorgeous beaux-arts building which is inspired by the The Palais Garnier  in Paris, puts on events most Sundays and on other days. If you visit the front of the gorgeous Royal Opera grounds, you can catch posters which give details of Royal Opera events.

To visit the Royal Opera:

Great Second Life Destinations: The Yorkshire Moors, and the Windswept Crags of Wuthering Heights

The windswept and heather-topped Yorkshire Moors are renowned for their beautiful desolation and wide open views. They are the setting for one of the most romantic and haunting movies ever made, 1939's Wuthering Heights, based on the novel by the great novel of the same name by writer Emily Bronte. When I walked the spacious sim, and stood on the craggy cliffs looking out at the far distant horizons, I could almost hear the low calls for "Heathcliff", the part played by the great actor Sir Laurence Olivier, much like in the great movie. Although other visitors who are not old movie movie fans may not have the experience that I have, this is a very beautiful and highly atmospheric sim, and very well designed.

The Yorkshire Moors, also called the Yorkshire Dales, is also the home of Rayne's Store and some other galleries and commercial destinations. However, the true beauty of this destination can be found by getting out and walking and seeing the great views and vistas. I highly recommend a visit.

Photography Information:

I used Windlight Sky Setting -- Annan Adored's Morning Dream in these images.  My version of the Firestorm viewer did not carry this Windlight Setting as an option in Advanced Environmental Editor.

I added Morning Dream and other current settings by Annan Adored by the downloading a Zip File from this location and adding the settings to my Windlight folder. Instructions are carried on the home page of the link.  I like all of the different settings and recommend that you download all as photographic options:
