Great Second Life Destinations: Maritime Canada Imagined at The Diva Main Store

Some of the most artistically done and best designed destinations in Second Life are commercial. It was not always this way, I can remember years past when most large retail locations in Second Life glaringly looked the part and had huge amounts of unattractive signage that were simply not very pleasing.  Things have changed now, and many commercial regions offer the very best in landscape and architectural design.

Mediterranean landscaping is a popular theme for many commercial beautiful commercial destinations. Last week I reviewed  the Dead Dollz, ladies fashion store at Endless Summer which is reminiscent of France and Italy. I am reviewing the Diva Main Store, a popular ladies hair store in this post, which has a strikingly different landscape and very attractive landscape here today. I thought the green fields, wildflowers, rugged coast, and clean wooden buildings, were very reminiscent of landscapes in the Maritime Provinces of Canada.

The Maritimes, which consist of  New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island lie to the North and East of New England. I have never actually visited here in real life, but visiting here has triggered my interest in making a trip to this storied part of Canada.  The outdoor cafe in front of the well-equipped food truck outside of the main store, in particular, brings up images of lobster roll and blueberry pie lunches washed down will gallons of fresh lemonade, which is something that I am sure locals look forward to doing on hot summer days.

I used Windlight sky setting [TOR] MIDDAY - Nostalgika in these images, which I favor for its warm golden light and clear skies. I particularly like using this this setting for early autumnal photography. Nostalgika comes as an option in the Firestorm Viewer.
