Great Second Life Art Installations: Vibrant Park Art Celebrates The Creativity of Those With Parkinson's Disease

Park Art is a pleasure to visit. The only way to describe many of these vibrant works of art is psychedelic fantasy. The artists who have contributed to the installation have Parkinson's disease and are experiencing a  phenomenon known as “compulsive creativity" which drugs used for treatment unleash in some patients. The collection of art installations, many moving and interactive, makes quite an impression.

It is easy to get lost and disoriented here as you explore hidden rooms and take in all the spatial effects. I cannot remember any other installation in Second Life that literally caught me off balance. This is one of the best art installations that I have visited in Second Life over the past year, and highly recommend you visit:

Park Art is located at:

All photography uses Windlight Sky Setting Bree's Appleblossom.

Park Art is sponsored by the University of Oregon as part of ongoing research with Tredi Felisimo (Donna Z. If you or someone you know has PD and is interested in being a part of the Park Art community or study, please contact Tredi at dzdavis@uoregon.edu.
