Great Second Life Destinations: Bikers Survive the Apocalypse at Ruin City

Ever since the dystopian series of Mad Max motorcycle films established a new genre of entertainment back in 1979, the allure of owning a motorcycle in a post-apocalyptic world populated by violent bikers with nicknames such as Lord Humongous has gripped the popular imagination. Although I must admit that I would not desire an existence in such an environment (my destination of camping outdoors is staying in a three-star motel), there are many who do-- and Ruin City offers great appeal as a Second Life role play destination for this audience.

Although all sorts of vehicles are welcome here, motorcycles are Ruin City's raison d'etre, especially for group role play. Ruin city is a very alluring place to visit and photograph, and the strange light programmed here added much enjoyment to my visit. I highly recommend this destination for a visit.

All photography was taken with the Windlight Sky settings programmed at the destination-- which I find perfect for a science fiction post-apocalyptic environment.
