Great Second Life Destinations: The Makeahla Jungle Region Opens on Saturday, January 10. Details of Photography Contest Announced

The Makeahla Jungle is a pretty three-sim region  that invites you to" rediscover the heart of nature ". The jungle, owned by Makeahla Resident, and decorated by Mz. Marville, will open on Saturday at 2:00 PM SLT in a grand opening ceremony with "actors dressed as wildlife" as part of the proceedings. All sorts of jungle animals inhabit the wide grasslands here; Ryce was particularly taken with the large-jawed crocodile and apes when he previewed the area.

The extensive waterfall complex which reminded me of photographs of  Zambia's Victoria Falls  is particularly impressive. Makeahla told me that the landscaping was not yet finished when I took these images -- so the final jungle may be a bit different than what you see here.

The Makeahla Jungle is going to be a gorgeous addition to Second Life attractions once it formally opens.
