Gorgeous Second Life Winter Destinations: Natural Winter At L'Arc-en-Ciel

Asa Vordun's L'Arc-en-Ciel is a very realistic and entirely believable location. Unlike more cartoonish winter sims, there is a sense of three dimensionality due to the play of  coast and landscape here which is unmatched in other winter destinations.  The curve of the lighted coast which you can see in the bottom photograph, and which you walk after you arrive, demonstrates this effect.

The earth is covered with a light blanket of winter snow that is a few days old and has begun to melt   Pathways and grass shows through the snow right now, although more snow is expected in a few days. The livestock, houses, furnishings, and platings are all very well done and placed and beautifully textured, and surprise at every turn. This is a very beautiful location to visit, and highly recommended for photographers and anyone who appreciates gorgeous virtual locations to visit.

  1. Do not care for cold winter and snow, but these are beautiful. Several that I will use as screen background. Have a great day.
