Great Second Life Destinations: Giant Delftware at Tree and Ocean SL

The historic and very pretty town of Delft is about one hour south of Amsterdam by train. Its best known product, and the one decorative item that is most associated with Holland is Delftware- highly glazed chinaware that is most often seen in rich blue and white colors. The art installation at Tree and Ocean SL takes Delftware and expands it to nearly a full size of a sim, reducing the visitor to lilliputian proportions.

Tree and Ocean SL is set on a giant "delftware plate island" plate in the sky. the textures and patterns are exquisite, and make quite an impact when blown up to gargantuan proportions. I highly recommend that you visit.

All photography was taken with Windlight Sky Setting "TOR" Midday Nostalgia. I like the warm blue light that brings out the rich Delft Blue color to good effect.

  2. My pleasure Vivena! But I thought your photography was superb. I liked the way you contrasted the rich blue with color sky settings.
